The Life Science Center of the Algarve is loads of fun for kids and adults.

Inside, the focus is on ocean life. 30 modules covering areas such as the evolution of the oceans, biodiversity, physics of the sea and the environment. Kids get right up close to these exhibits, and actually take part in many of the experiences.

Outside, the Cicada Garden provides fun and learning lessons dealing with energy. Kids learn about solar, wind and kinetic energy, by interacting with technological flowers and bugs. Some displays require pedal power to understand the kinetic and centrifugal force.

The Life Science Center is accessible to all and bilingual English and Portuguese. For more information, visit the Centro Ciência Viva do Algarve website.
